Jennifer Lopez was recently spotted on the streets of New York City wearing an opulent wedding dress – but her fiancé Alex Rodriguez was nowhere in sight.
It wasn’t a practice run for her big day, the Hustlers star was actually on the set of her upcoming film project, Marry Me, a rom-com based on a graphic novel by Barry Crosby.
Lopez is understood to be starring in the film as popstar Kat Valdes, who decides to marry “a random guy from the crowd” (played by Owen Wilson) after being jilted by her rock-star fiancé at Madison Square Garden.
In pH๏tographs snapped on set, Lopez can be seen emerging from a black car in an elaborately embellished strapless ballgown by Lebanese couturier Zuhair Murad, topped off with an equally heavily-embellished veil and a fur stole.
While this dress isn’t the one Lopez will wear for her own off-screen nuptials (the couple is set to marry in 2020), it’s certainly in keeping with some of the show-stopping gowns we’ve seen her wear on the red carpet in recent years, many of which have been liberally sprinkled with sequins and beading.
